Vancouver, Canada -- Mawson Resources Limited ("Mawson") TSXv -- MAW; Frankfurt-MRY. The Board of Directors of Mawson is pleased to announce that Mr. Mark Saxon has joined the Board. Mr. Saxon will remain the Vice President of Exploration and qualified person for the Company as defined by National Instrument 43-101. He retains responsibility for design, monitoring and quality control of Mawson's exploration programs, and the verification of technical information disclosed in press releases.
Mr. Saxon graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1991 with a B.Sc. (Honours) in Geology and is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Mr. Saxon is a current director of Sierra Minerals Ltd., an unlisted Australian public mineral exploration company exploring for gold in Australia and South America and provides geological consulting services to other mineral exploration companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Mr. Saxon was a Senior Geologist of Pasminco Australia Ltd. from 1992 to 2001 and brings a strong background in project generation, acquisition and management to Mawson.
